Ruben Amorim has now had just under a week to work with his squad as Manchester United’s pre-season preparations for the 2025/26 campaign officially kicked off.

With several senior stars gradually returning from their holiday break and a handful of young talents being assessed, United’s recruitment and loan departments remain just as active behind the scenes.

After confirming fixtures for the United States leg of their tour and now knowing the release date of their new away kit, the club has now sanctioned a move abroad for one of their most promising teenagers.

CentreDevils exclusively revealed that Enzo was set to spend the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport, a club operating under the INEOS ownership group.

And on Thursday that was confirmed.

Swiss outfit Lausanne Sport, via the clubs official website, officially confirmed the arrival of Enzo Kana-Biyik from Manchester United on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old striker was announced as a new signing earlier today from French side Le Havre, after impressing in France’s youth system and earning call-ups to Didier Digard’s Ligue 1 squad.

Born on 8 January 2007, Enzo Kana-Biyik is regarded as a powerful and technically gifted centre-forward who already boasts caps at U18 level for France.

His rapid progression saw United move quickly to secure his signature during the transfer window, beating out a number of European clubs to land the promising attacker.

Le FC Lausanne-Sport wrote in their official announcement: “Enzo is an international U18 forward, powerful and technical, with a great sense of goal.

“He will wear number 22 with Lausanne.”

The young Frenchman is also the son of Andre Kana-Biyik, the legendary Cameroonian defender with 80 international caps to his name.

Football clearly runs deep in the family, and the move to Switzerland is expected to provide Enzo with valuable first-team minutes as he continues his development.

United believe the experience will prepare the teenager for future involvement at Old Trafford, with Lausanne providing a professional platform in the Swiss Super League.

Kana-Biyik is the latest in a line of academy exports heading out on loan this season — a strategy that continues to yield long-term rewards.

United fans will be keeping an eye on his progress in Lausanne, as the young striker looks to prove he has what it takes to thrive in a senior environment.
