Manchester United are desperate to make some sales this summer to generate funds for further signings as the club’s financial pressures are mounting.
Ruben Amorim was given a significantly limited transfer budget for the winter transfer window and is set for the same in the summer.
As such, hearing that one of the top LaLiga sides is circling for one of the club’s priority sales has got to be music to Amorim’s ears.
Last summer the club had a priority sale list of Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Antony and Jadon Sancho.
Unfortunately for United, Lindelof and Eriksen will be leaving this summer at the end of their contracts, meaning the club can’t cash in on them, whilst Harry Maguire has extended his contract for another year become a vital member of Amorim’s defence.
Antony and Sancho however are enjoying life on loan elsewhere with Chelsea set to buy Sancho for £25 million whilst Antony is kickstarting his career once more at Real Betis.
Now, Chris Wheeler has reported that Betis are determined to retain Antony after his loan spell comes to an end.

Real Betis “will do everything” to retain Antony this summer
The Daily Mail reporter took to X saying: “Real Betis say they will do everything to keep Antony when the Man Utd winger’s loan ends in June”
Since joining Betis is January, the Brazilian winger has scored four goals and four assists in 13 games for the Spanish side, showing glimpses of his time at Ajax which catapulted him to stardom.
However, his £200,000 per week salary could prove too much for Betis, with the club considering an attempt at extending his loan.
Betis are looking at loaning him for another year, with the condition of them paying a higher percentage of his salary if they qualify for Champions League football.
Antony’s Betis teammate Isco also joked in an interview recently saying: “We have to do one of those crowdfunding campaigns to see if we can bring him in for at least one more year.”
Despite the joke it shows how valuable the 25-year-old has become to the team already after only a few months.
