Ruben Amorim is quickly realising the scale of the challenge at Manchester United.

Earlier this month, Amorim warned the fans that “the storm will come” after a 4-0 win over Everton.

That was the first of ten December fixtures.

Since then, United have lost six times.

The most recent loss, coming against Newcastle where the Red Devils were comfortably beaten 2-0.

United will have to wait until the start of 2025, in attempts to build any momentum.

Amorim’s side next face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

With the January transfer window looming, Amorim is pushing for a midfielder.

Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are both set to depart the club in the near future.

One midfielder who has previously been linked to join United, has finally spoken out.

That player is Luka Sucic, currently playing at Real Sociedad.

The midfielder has addressed speculation linking him with a potential move to Manchester United.

In an interview with Sportske Novosti, the player expressed pride in being tracked by major clubs.

However, he clarified that no formal contact has yet been made.

“They told me that such a possibility appeared in public. Later I read about it myself.

“No one called me from England,” he explained.

The 22-year-old currently thriving at Sociedad, revealed that he remains content with his situation in La Liga.

“I am under contract to Sociedad, where I am doing well, nice.

“Have the clubs talked? I don’t know.

“The topic doesn’t bother me,” he added.

Despite the lack of direct communication, he acknowledged the prestige of a club like Manchester United.

“United is a global giant, a respected giant in the world of football.

“Of course I like having my name associated with the Red Devils,” he said.

United’s reported interest in the midfielder highlights his growing reputation in La Liga.

His technical quality and composure on the ball suggests he could adapt well to the demands of the Premier League.

The Croatian’s potential makes him an appealing long-term target for United as they look to bolster their midfield options.

A move to the Premier League would represent a significant milestone in his career.

It would also mark a positive start to the rebuild process under Amorim.

One to keep an eye on.
