This summer, Manchester United have undergone a major restructure of their starting line-up, seeing a new attacking trio join the club, and a whole host of attackers lined up to depart.

Whilst Marcus Rashford has already joined Barcelona on a season-long loan, Alejandro Garnacho looks set to join Chelsea for a £40 million fee, making him the largest sale of a United academy graduate to date.

However, now Kobbie Mainoo could well join his fellow academy graduates as the England international has informed The Red Devils that he wants to get more gametime.

David Ornstein has reported that Mainoo has told United he wants to leave the club on loan before deadline day on 1st September.

The motivation behind the move comes from his lack of game time under Ruben Amorim, and whilst he reportedly has no intention of cutting his ties with United, is keen to get more first-team football than he’s expecting to get at Old Trafford.

United’s shocking Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town was Mainoo’s only appearance so far this season, with the midfielder being an unused substitute in both of the opening Premier League games against Arsenal and Fulham.

This is a breaking story with more to follow.
