Serie A giants Juventus are fighting to add to their record-holding set of 36 league titles after five years without winning the league.
Before this, The Old Lady won nine consecutive Serie A titles and are now sat in second place in the league behind title defenders Napoli after their second league match.
This summer saw Juve sign a range of new talent for their new campaign, including Francisco Conceicao from Porto, Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina and Lloyd Kelly from Newcastle United.
The Italian side also signed free agent Jonathan David after his impressive spell at LOSC Lille, grabbing 109 goals and 30 assists in 232 games for the Ligue 1 side.
However, Juve are still looking to sign another striker to be ready to replace Dusan Vlahovic, with the 25-year-old in the final year of his contract.
Currently, there’s no expectation that Vlahovic will be remaining in Turin next summer, with Juve having looked to use him in deals over the winter transfer window.
On the shortlist are a range of attacking options, including Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman and Gianluca Scamacca, as well as Bologna’s Santiago Castro and Parma’s Matteo Pellegrino.
However, TuttoSport has now reported that The Old Lady are now looking at Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee again.
Back in January, Juve were keen to sign Joshua Zirkzee, with the former Bologna striker struggling at Old Trafford, even being one of the potential player-swap deals involving Vlahovic.
Whilst nothing materialised, with Ruben Amorim feeling that Zirkzee has potential to grow in his current set-up, Juve aren’t giving up on their target, after being impressed by his Serie A stint with Bologna.
With Rasmus Hojlund having gone on loan to Napoli for the remainder of the season, its unlikely that United will sanction a departure for Zirkzee this season.
