One example is Anthony Elanga who left Manchester United for £15 million to join Nottingham Forest.
He was superb there which has earned him a £55 million move to Newcastle United this summer.
Now there is another former Red Devils player who is linked to a move to Juventus.
According to SportsMediaSet via Juventusnews24, Juventus have identified Sofyan Amrabat as a Douglas Luiz replacement.
Amrabat’s technical skills and international experience have already caught Juventus’ attention in recent seasons, making him an invaluable addition to the Juventus midfield.
The Moroccan midfielder’s signing, though, might be a significant barrier.
Amrabat is requesting about £3.5 million million a season, which is more than Juventus’ salary cap.
Amrabat joined the club on a season-long loan on the final day of the 2023 summer transfer window.
Manchester United paid Fiorentina a loan fee of £8.5 million and had an option to buy him permanently for £21.4 million.
He has since been excelling in the Turkish league starring for Fenerbahce.
A move to Juventus would be incredible for the former Red Devils star if the deal finalises but he would need to lower his salary cap.
