Manchester United are still in the market for a new striker as the pre-season tour is well underway in USA.

Ruben Amorim is still having to utilise Rasmus Hojlund as his first-choice striker, having limited other options with Chido Obi still warming up to senior level, and Joshua Zirkzee out with a minor knock.

Alongside them, new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha can play in the striker role, however are preferred in the number 10 role supporting to striker instead of leading the line.

However, with the Premier League opener against Arsenal quickly approaching, United’s hierarchy are already accepting that they may have to enter the game without a new striker being signed.

Now, Benjamin Sesko appears to be United’s top attacking target, having missed out on Liam Delap, Vitor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike, and Victor Osimhen, with the first three all having joined Premier League rivals.

United are currently battling it out with Newcastle for Sesko’s signature, however have now made contact with another of their long-term targets.

Calcio Mercato have reported that The Red Devils are now in competition with Juventus for Randal Kolo Muani, as the Old Lady look to take the striker on a loan to buy deal.

Juve are reportedly looking to increase their offer to PSG to a £8.7 million (€10 million) loan offer, with an obligatory buy at the end of the season for between £26 million and £30 million (€30 million to €35 million), matching his £35 million to £40 million.

The mandatory buy clause of the loan is reportedly linked to achievable conditions, however PSG want a guaranteed move, not seeing Randal Kolo Muani in their long-term plans.

It’s understood that the potential increase in offer comes from concern that United are going to launch a move for the young striker amid limited targets left to pursue.
