Juventus have been pursuing the move of Jadon Sancho for the majority of this summer’s transfer window with the Serie A side trying a number of options to sign the Englishman.

Initially, it looked like the deal for Sancho had potential.

But, a number of key issues have meant that the deal has hit blockades on several occasions.

One of the blockades that the deal between the two clubs have hit is the cost that Juventus will pay for Sancho. Manchester United were initially looking for a fee between £20 million and £26 million.

However, in recent weeks, this price has been reported to have been lowered to a number as low as £15 million.

Even with this, the prospect of Sancho moving to Italy is still hanging on a fine thread but with the Englishman reaching an agreement with the Serie A outfit, the deal looks more likely to happen than not.

Now, an update has emerged which will give Juventus a boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta, the Italian side are preparing for the departure of Samuel Mbangula for approximately €10 million plus two-thirds in bonuses with the Belgian moving to Werder Bremen.

The deal between Werder Bremen and Mbangula has been reported to include a five year contract.

The news of this departure in addition to the sale of Timothy Weah to Marseille will add much needed funds to Juventus’ transfer budget which will allow them to pursue other targets such as Jadon Sancho.

This therefore increases the chances of the Italian side signing Sancho in the coming weeks.

With Juventus already setting a deadline, which they have gone past, the deal between Manchester United and Juventus for the Englishman may be one that progresses quickly in the coming weeks.
