Despite significant barriers facing the club, Manchester United are determined to turn things around this January to launch an offensive in the second half of the season.
The Red Devils face significant financial struggles after extensive spending in the transfer windows and high salaries, which have resulted in poor performances.
As such, the club hasn’t had the high-level revenue which comes from routine participation in the Champions League or from winning silverware, with the Carabao Cup and FA Cup being their only recent wins.
Now, the United hierarchy has withheld funds for a January transfer budget, forcing sales to occur before any new signings can join the club.
However, this isn’t stopping the United recruitment team, headed by Christopher Vivell, from shortlisting their top targets.
It’s clear to all United fans that Ruben Amorim needs a left-wing-back and a striker to join the squad this month.
Now Marcus Rashford looking to depart to AC Milan and Alejandro Garnacho is in talks with Napoli, the funds could be generated to get an incoming deal across the line.
This is great news for United, as a massive statement has been made by the club of one of United’s targets, hinting towards an imminent exit for the striker.

A boost for Manchester United in the pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani
Manchester United have been interested in Randal Kolo Muani for over two years now.
The summer of 2023 saw Erik ten Hag deciding between Rasmus Hojlund and Kolo Muani on which young striker he wanted at Old Trafford.
Ultimately this saw Hojlund’s move from Atalanta, however, The Red Devils never stopped monitoring the French striker.
Now, United are advancing their interest in the star once more as he looks set to leave PSG this month.
It’s understood that Luis Enrique doesn’t see the youngster in his long-term plans, even going as far as leaving him out of the squad to face St. Etienne this weekend.
Whilst PSG won 2-1 thanks to a brace from Ousmane Dembele, Enrique’s decision to not include Kolo Muani is a massive statement.
Considering the star has been a regular starter now for France’s national team, scoring three goals and grabbing one assist in five starts in the UEFA Nations League, his lack of club football is a statement of Enrique’s plans rather than the striker’s ability and form.
As such, to retain his spot in the national squad, Kolo Muani will need to ensure more first-team football, which looks to be best achieved by leaving PSG.
Unfortunately for United, they face opposition from Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur. However, if United can get a sale or loan deal across the line, they could see their dream of having Kolo Muani at Old Trafford become a reality.
