Manchester United’s pre-season preparations under Ruben Amorim continue to dominate headlines, with the club pushing for major exits before the transfer window closes.

While the spotlight remains on fresh signings, many of the club’s fringe stars are waiting to see what the future holds.

Amorim has made it clear that only fully committed players will be part of his plans, and that stance has already seen big names sidelined.

One of the most high-profile absentees continues to be the former record signing who now finds himself training away from the main group.

And with top European sides circling, the Red Devils may finally be closing in on a permanent solution.

Jadon Sancho is reportedly ready to take a significant pay cut to rejoin Borussia Dortmund, the club where he rose to stardom before his £73 million move to Old Trafford.

According to BILD, the England international has already informed Dortmund’s hierarchy – including Lars Ricken and Sebastian Kehl – that he is open to halving his current €16 million annual salary in order to complete the return.

It was also reported that Dortmund held internal discussions about bringing Sancho back.

Despite still earning well below top earners, Jadon Sancho would sit comfortably among the club’s higher-paid players.

United have shown little interest in reintegrating the 25-year-old winger, with Amorim opting not to include him in training sessions even with other peripheral figures such as Alejandro Garnacho.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is aware that his next move is crucial, and another misstep could damage his career beyond repair.

His loan spell at Chelsea failed to reignite his form, and a permanent United stay now appears entirely out of the question.

Although Juventus remain in the race for his signature, Dortmund remain confident they can secure their former fan favourite – especially given Sancho’s willingness to sacrifice salary to feel valued again.

A final decision is expected in the coming weeks, but one thing is certain: his time at Old Trafford is all but over.
