The Saudi Pro League have come into light in the last few years for their huge transfer spending and incredible player wages.
Eleven years after leaving Juventus to join Real Madrid, Ronaldo returned to the Old Trafford club in August 2021, having scored 145 goals in 346 games for United.
He had just over seven months left on his £500,000-per-week deal with United, but it was “mutually agreed” that he would go right away.

Another former Red Devils player and defender, Alex Telles, also left Manchester United to join Saudi giants Al Nassr.
Telles made 50 appearances for United at left-back having signed from Porto for £13.6m in 2020, but spent last season on loan at Sevilla.
Now there is yet another former Manchester United player who has joined a Saudi giant.
As per Fabrizio Romano via X, Saudi side Al Najmah SC are set to sign Eric Bailly as new centre back.

Eric Bailly’s Manchester United career spanned from 2016 to 2023.
He joined the club in 2016 as one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings and played over 100 games for the club, including a loan spell at Marseille.
He departed Manchester United for Besiktas in the summer of 2023.
Unfortunately, Bailly’s time at Old Trafford was plagued by injuries, which limited his playing time and consistency.
Bailly is very good at defensive plays including aerial duels, tackles, and interceptions.
One of his main advantages is his ability to understand the game and stop opponent attacks.
Bailly’s style of play, particularly his willingness to step forward and challenge opponents, can inspire confidence in his teammates and contribute to a strong defensive unit.
The Saudi Pro League will be getting a good defender in Bailly.
