Marcus Rashford has been at the centre of Manchester United’s summer transfer window with the English international set to leave Old Trafford.
Rashford spent the second half of the 2024-25 Premier League season on loan at Aston Villa with concerns that the attacker’s off-field actions were affecting his on-field performance.

Whilst with Villa, the 27-year-old made 17 appearances and scored four goals across the Premier League , UEFA Champions League and FA Cup.
Since returning to United from this loan spell, Rashford has hinted at his desire to leave Old Trafford with the winger changing his profile picture on social media.
His return to the first-team squad has also been met with difficulty with the England international training on his own at Carrington and being part of five players who were not allowed to return to pre-season training with the rest of Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad to give him time to secure a move away from Old Trafford.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has given his famous “here we go” for his departure, with Barcelona set to sign Rashford over the coming days.
Romano has said there is a verbal agreement between all parties involved with the Spanish giants planning for Rashford’s medical tests over the next few days.
The deal has been reported by the journalist to be a loan deal with buy option with all the details being finalised today before Manchester United authorise Rashford’s move to Spain.
It was already known that Hansi Flick was keen to have Marcus Rashford in his side, with attempts to sign Luis Diaz and Nico Williams falling through.
Now, Rashford is set for the next stage of his career as he heads to Spain over the next few days, ending his 20-year-long stint with Manchester United.
