Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford is closing in on a move to La Liga side Barcelona with the 27-year-old expected to make the move to Spain over the coming days.
The news of this move follows weeks of speculation about the English international’s future which was heightened by the changing of Rashford’s profile picture on X earlier in the summer.
The move also follows the Englishman’s isolation from Ruben Amorim’s senior first-team squad.
Rashford isn’t the only player to be isolated from the rest of the senior squad with the 27-year-old being one of five players – including Antony and Alejandro Garnacho – to be subjected to this treatment.

These players have only been allowed to report at Carrington at 5pm each day which is a long time after the rest of the senior squad have finished their training.
With Rashford now moving to Spain, he will be training on a regular basis with Barcelona’s full senior squad which features names such as Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Gavi.
But, before this happens, some details of the deal must still be confirmed.

One of these is the buy out option in the deal which is the fee that Barcelona would pay if they were to pursue a permanent deal for the English international.
Initially, it looked like the buy out fee would be £30 million.
Although, the Daily Mail’s reporting of a £40 million buy out option sparked confusion about what the actual fee was.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed the actual fee that Barcelona would pay for Marcus Rashford if they wanted to pursue the buy part of the loan-to-buy deal agreed between the two clubs.
Speaking on X, Romano has stated that the buy option fee is £26 million.

This is slightly less than the figures reported by other outlets.
This would mean that Manchester United would receive less money if the Spanish giants were to pursue the permanent signing of the English international.
However, nothing will be decided until Rashford completes his loan spell in Spain next season.
