The future of Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford has been up in the air for some time now ever since his falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

After the very public falling out in September 2023, in January, Sancho was sent out on loan to see out the rest of the season with former club Borussia Dortmund.

With this exiling of the winger, many expected the star to be heading out the door this summer when he returned from loan. However, a twist in the tale brought Sancho back into favour with ten Hag.

Upon returning to Carrington for pre-season training, Sancho met with the United manager to put the disagreement behind them. It was understood their meeting went positively and the winger was ultimately used in all of United’s pre-season games, except for against Rosenborg where he wasn’t eligible to play.

However, despite being in ten Hag’s good book again, French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, have been interested in the winger’s services since losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid. The Ligue 1 side have met with United to try and thrash out a deal, although nothing has come to fruition just yet.

The future of Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford

Now, speaking on United Stand’s YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has given an insight into the future of Jadon Sancho this summer.

Since last month, Sancho’s agent has reportedly been in contact with PSG several times to try and get a deal over the line, however no formal offer has been made as of yet.

Romano also added that: “The situation right now with Jadon Sancho is 60/40. 60% to stay, and 40% to leave.”

This highlights the very significant turning point in his situation at the club. Earlier this summer, the 24-year-old was listed as a priority sale by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Dan Ashworth in an attempt to generate transfer funds.

However, if he can find his previous form that saw him rise to fame at Borussia Dortmund, he could still be a real asset to ten Hag’s side.
