Manchester United fans have long been frustrated this summer, seeing the club struggle to bring in a polished centre forward.
Liam Delap, was widely known as the main target.
The Englishman’s representatives even held talks with the Red Devils, in aim of a early deal being done.
However, he chose Chelsea – the Blues who recently won the Club World Cup competition, and will be playing in the Champions League next season.

Hugo Ekitike meanwhile, remains a target.
However, Liverpool and Newcastle United remain more likely to win his signature – again due to the Champions League pull.
The most frustrating pursuit for United fans, being Viktor Gyokeres – who is nearing the completion for his move to Arsenal.
Gyokeres who of course, was another huge target being touted throughout the summer at United to reunite with Ruben Amorim.
It has since meant the club have had to turn to alternative targets.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, recently released from Everton, was mentioned as a possible desperate buy.
However, those rumours went on to quickly be dismissed.
Although another target who has also been linked with United over the past year, could still make the move to Manchester.

That is Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, who is set to leave the club this summer after being offered a contract termination.
Speaking on YouTube, Fabrizio Romano stated: “The player [Vlahovic] was offered to Manchester United.
“He has to leave Juventus, he is no longer an important player for the team.”
It is worth also noting that the Serbian has just one year left on his contract – one that most certainly won’t be renewed at Juventus.
However, Romano went on to state that United’s priorities lie elsewhere for now.
“At the moment, United are focusing on Bryan Mbeumo.
“They [United] are aware of this possibility.
“But at the moment, to say there is a negotiation for Vlahovic to United, is something I’m not aware of.”
The news may not come as much of a frustration to United fans, who have rather been witnessing the hierarchy stall on the completion to sign Mbeumo.
However time is quickly running out until the new season begins.
A new season that may well begin with Rasmus Hojlund as the man leading the line, again.
