Manchester United’s summer transfer window could well be the most important window of recent time as the club look to bounce back from last year’s disastrous season.
The Red Devils recorded their worst result of the Premier League era, coming in 15th overall, missing out on European football for the first time in over ten years.
Now, United are looking at rebuilding there squad, aiming to offload around 14 players at the time of the transfer window opening, making space for new signings to rejuvenate the squad.

For United, a clear priority has been to strengthen their attack with Rasmus Hojlund failing to provide the consistency needed from a first-choice striker.
As such, Matheus Cunha has been signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo looking close to becoming United’s second major signing this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that sealing a deal for Mbeumo is the club’s urgent priority, wanting the star to move to Old Trafford as soon as possible.

Talking on his YouTube, Romano commented: “Now as of today Manchester United’s focus is closing the Bryan Mbeumo deal as soon as possible. Manchester United are in the process of that.”
He continued: “Then in terms of budget, it’s going to be important to understand how much they can spend on the striker, because it’s also going to be important to understand what’s going to happen with [Jadon] Sancho, [Marcus] Rashford, [Alejandro] Garnacho.
“All these players have to go and so for Manchester United to understand how much they will get from these players, and Antony too is going to be crucial to understand the budget.”
As such there seems to be a clear focus for Manchester United to get some sales across the line, giving them more leverage in their offer for Bryan Mbeumo.
This is especially important as Brentford are demanding a large portion of the Bryan Mbeumo transfer fee up front, which could be a real struggle without sales given the club’s financial pressures.
