Manchester United have endured a mixed start to life under Ruben Amorim.

The club are actively working on signings as the January transfer window nears its close.

Ruben Amorim’s squad requires reinforcements, and United’s hierarchy is working hard to finalise deals.

Patrick Dorgu is the top target to strengthen the left wing-back position, with a third bid planned this week.

The club is also exploring options for the frontline amid speculation over Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford’s futures.

While first-team additions grab headlines, United remain committed to bolstering their Academy ranks.

Recent promising youth signings include Sekou Kone, Chido Obi Martin, and Diego Leon, who joins this summer.

Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on another target: Arsenal’s young centre-back Ayden Heaven.

Interest in the wonderkid was first reported on CentreDevils, back in December.

Heaven, an 18-year-old England U19 international, is out of contract at Arsenal this summer.

Romano on GiveMeSport reported: “Man United are confident to make it [deal] happen in the next months.

“Ayden Heaven [is] a talented 6 ft 3 centre-back, out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the current season.”

Interest has also come from Eintracht Frankfurt and Barcelona, but United are seen as favorites.

Heaven was at Old Trafford last week for United’s Europa League clash against Rangers.

He has made eight PL2 appearances for Arsenal this season and one first-team outing.

If signed, Heaven would likely join the Under-21s before seeking first-team opportunities or a loan spell.

United’s Academy remains in strong form, with the Under-18s unbeaten in the league after 11 games.

The club is focused on ensuring their youth setup continues to thrive alongside first-team developments.

It’s important that the club strike the right balance between embedding young players in at the right time, surrounded by top experience.
