The Brazilian forward is set to sign a five-year contract, with the paperworks expected to be completed over the weekend.
The 26-year-old is set to receive a considerable wage increase, going from his £120,000 per week with Wolves to £200,000 per week at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have met Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause, paying the fee in three installments over two years.
This agreement came after initial negotiations where United proposed a five-year payment plan was rejected by Wolves.
The revised terms were subsequently accepted, allowing the transfer to proceed smoothly.

In Cunha, 26, United are attempting to recruit a world-class Premier League proven player who can make something happen in the blink of an eye.
Cunha had an impressive season with Wolves, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists across all competitions.
His performances had caught the attention of multiple heavyweight clubs across Europe.
But it was United in the end that secured his services, primarily because Cunha had his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.
United see him as a key addition to bolster the attacking options under manager Ruben Amorim.
Upon completion of the transfer, Cunha is expected to take the iconic No.10 shirt at United, which he demanded from the management.
With United looking to offload Marcus Rashford this summer, it’s unlikely that the England international will be set to wear that number again, essentially making it available to United’s new signing.
Now with everything in place between the clubs and player, Cunha could become a Red Devil on 1st June when the transfer window opens.
