After weeks of anticipation, the bid from The Red Devils was one that The Bees felt was appropriate for the 25-year-old.
Since then, things have escalated quickly.

CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that Bryan Mbeumo is set to complete the first part of his medical this Saturday, with the rest of the medical scheduled to be completed on Sunday.
And Sunday is when Mbeumo will officially sign his Manchester United contract.
We already know that his contract will be a 5 year + 1 year extension option in length.
Of course, that means that he won’t be playing in the pre-season friendly against Leeds United on Saturday.
But that timeline would mean that he’d be signed up and ready to join the squad before they head to the United States of America for the bulk of their friendlies.
There are currently no details on when the club will make the announcement public.
Typically, in situations like this, it’s usually within a short timeframe from when the contract gets signed.
However, it’s not going to be long.
The first team squad fly out to the United States of America and it’s fully expected that Bryan Mbeumo will be on that flight.
So we should be seeing Mbeumo at Old Trafford wearing the famous red shirt of Manchester United within the coming days.
