Manchester United are edging closer to announcing Benjamin Sesko as a new Red Devil after his move from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The Red Devils have managed to land their key target after an intense battle with Newcastle United as both clubs looked to bring him to the Premier League.
Whilst Newcastle were looking to the Slovenia international as a replacement for Alexander Isak who wants to explore other opportunities away from St James Park, United were in need of more firepower for their revised attacking line.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have already joined, with Sesko being the final piece of the puzzle.
With both Premier League sides pitched their project to Benjamin Sesko and tabled matching offers to Leipzig, the deal came down to which club Sesko wanted more.

Ultimately, the 22-year-old picked Manchester United, agreeing personal terms to more to Old Trafford.
Thankfully for United fans, the club-to-club negotiations also didn’t last long, with a deal being struck in principle yesterday, seeing the striker fly to Manchester for his medical assessments, contract signing and media duties.
Now, CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that Sesko has passed his medical assessment, bringing him a step closer to putting on the iconic Manchester United shirt.
Before United can officially unveil their man, the new striker will now sign his contract and complete a series of media obligations.
It’s understood that Sesko is joining the Red Devils on a five-year contract, seeing him stay with the club until 2030 as United try to fight their way back to the top of world football.
The signing of Sesko marks Manchester United’s continued priority remodelling their attack ready for the 2025/26 Premier League season, with Cunha and Mbeumo signed as proven Premier League talents ready to support the Slovenia international in front of goal.
