Manchester United have missed out on yet another one of their long-standing targets in a summer that is proving to be essential for the Red Devils.
Following two struggling seasons, Ruben Amorim is leading the rebuild to help United bounce back in the Premier League.
Whilst this has meant making some key signings this summer, landing stars like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, there are plenty of targets they’ve failed to sign.
Liam Delap went to Chelsea, Hugo Ekitike joined Liverpool, Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres, and Manchester City snapped up James Trafford and Sverre Halseth Nypan.
Now, Everton have swept in, signing former Southampton star, Tyler Dibling.
United were linked to the winger throughout last season, however, The Toffees have now won the race for the 19-year-old.

Taking to their official website, Everton unveiled their signing, announcing: “Everton have completed the transfer of winger Tyler Dibling from Southampton for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract until the end of June 2029.
“The 19-year-old talent becomes David Moyes’ eighth signing of the summer transfer window following the permanent addition of Charly Alcaraz and arrivals of Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, Adam Aznou, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tom King, along with Jack Grealish on a season-long loan.”
Speaking for the first time as an Everton player, Tyler Dibling commented: “I’m buzzing to sign. I felt the club already, even before I was in the building, just from social media and from people telling me about the club.”
He continued: “I’ve never been so excited to play football and I’m just ready to get going.
“I think it’s the perfect match because of where the Club is right now. Obviously with the new stadium, the fans here are unreal and it has a family feel to it. I think it was the perfect fit and was a no-brainer to join.
“I think I’ve come to Everton at the perfect time and hopefully I can be here for many years.
“[The Brighton win] gave me a feel for the Club. It looked unbelievable. I also played in the last Men’s game at Goodison. It was so loud. I was looking around and thinking, ‘This is quality’.
“That was a really good insight for me into what it’s like here with the fans and the atmosphere they can create.
“There’s no better feeling than when you’re doing well in football and to feel that love from the fans is one of the best feelings ever. I’m excited to play here.”
