Ethan Williams is one of many players to come through the Manchester United academy, following names such as Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford.
Williams orginally came into the Under 18s side in 2022 where he spent two years.
Whilst with the side, he made 44 appearances and scored 20 goals.
The Englishman then moved to the Under U19 side where he made eight appearances, scoring five times.
Following his spell here, Williams moved onto the main Manchester United academy where he has made 29 appearances.
During this time, he has also scored seven times.
Alongside his time in the academy, the left winger spent the second half of last season out on loan at EFL League Two side Cheltenham Town.
Whilst with Town, he made 17 appearances and scored on two occasions.
Furthermore, he also scored his first professional goal for United during their pre-season tour in the USA.
Now, the 19-year-old has officially moved onto his next opportunity.
Commenting on their website, Manchester United have announced that Ethan Williams has signed for Falkirk on a loan deal.
Williams had previously received an offer from Croatia, but it appears he has rejected this offer.
The Scottish side currently play in the Scottish Premiership and were promoted last season from the Championship.
Manchester United have also confirmed that Williams has signed a new contract with United which will run until 2028, with the option of a further year should the Red Devils deem it worthy.
Currently, Falkirk sit 11th in the Scottish Premiership after two games but have games in hand over other teams in the league.
In a league that features teams such as Rangers and Celtic, amongst others, this move arguably will provide the United academy graduate with essential experience that he can use in the future.
Now, attention may turn towards Falkirk’s game against St Mirren, which Williams could feature in on the 13th of September.
