United are particularly keen, with Amorim having reportedly identified Ederson as an ideal fit for his preferred midfield structure.
The Brazilian’s work rate, physicality, and ability to win the ball high up the pitch align well with the pressing game Amorim wants to implement.
However, United will face intense competition, with all four clubs mentioned having the financial resources to meet Atalanta’s demands.
City and Real Madrid’s interest in particular could complicate matters, though United’s promise of regular game time and a key role in their rebuild could be decisive.
The Red Devils now must act quickly if they want to move ahead in the race, especially with Amorim eager to finalise major additions early in the window.
