The loan spell marks Ennis’ first spell away from the club after graduating from the academy in 2023.

In a message on United’s official website, The Red Devils have wished Ennis well on his spell away from the club, commenting: “Congratulations, Ethan, and good luck with Rovers!”

Ennis could see his first game with the club as early as Sunday, with the side traveling to Hull City to face The Tigers in the FA Cup third round.
