Manchester United are clearly prioritising a remodelling of their attack this summer, with the lack of goals at Old Trafford being a big concern for Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils are currently lacking a proven striker to provide reliability in front of goal and as such are looking at new signings.

One man in particular that has been the centre of transfer speculation is Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, with many reports claiming that United are close to agreeing personal terms.

However, David Ornstein has shot down this speculation whilst giving an update to NBC Sport.

Manchester United not interested in Victor Osimhen

The journalist has explained that Victor Osimhen is in fact not on United’s agenda this summer, despite many reports saying the opposite.

Despite recent reports claiming that United were hopeful of a £40 million bid being accepted by Napoli for the Nigerian international, The Red Devils are apparently not looking his way in the coming months.

Ornstein did confirm however, that United are focusing on the duo of Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha, which the club reportedly have the funds for.

The release clauses of the pair come to a combined £92.5 million, however, Ornstein has commented that United can pull this off without sales and without being reliant on the money coming from European tournaments.

It’s understood that Cunha is on the verge of signing for United, with the Brazilian keen to be a key part of Ruben Amorim’s rebuild.

However the signing of Liam Delap is heavily dependant on United securing Champions League football by winning the Europa League.

Whilst Cunha is specifically keen to move to Old Trafford, Delap wants European football with his next club, so if United can secure a slot for next year’s Champions League, they’ll be on a level playing field with his other suitors.
