Ruben Amorim is expected to accelerate his transfer business this week with Manchester United targeting multiple signings before the window closes.
United remain in talks with Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo, with the player pushing to make the move to Old Trafford.
Personal terms have already been agreed with Mbeumo, but the final transfer fee is yet to be settled, with Brentford demanding £60million.

Meanwhile, United have also been linked with a move for a versatile French attacker who starred in the Europa League this season and scored against the Red Devils in both legs of the semi-final.
However, the club have now suffered a transfer blow.
Manchester City have reached a full agreement to sign Rayan Cherki from Lyon, beating several top clubs — including Manchester United — to the 21-year-old’s signature, as per David Ornstein from The Athletic.
The talented playmaker was on United’s radar after his impressive 2024/25 campaign, where he registered 12 goals and 20 assists in all competitions, including crucial strikes against Amorim’s men.
Despite United showing interest in recent months, it is City who have now finalised a deal worth around €40million (£33.7m), with a contract running until 2030.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot also tried to hijack the deal, flying to France to meet Rayan Cherki personally, but the former Lyon star has chosen to join Pep Guardiola’s squad instead.
The move is being rushed through so that Cherki can be included in City’s Club World Cup squad, which kicks off later this week in the United States.
Cherki’s incredible rise began with Lyon at age 16, and he became the youngest player to ever score and feature in a Champions League semi-final.
Now, he will link up with the Citizens in a deal that not only strengthens United’s biggest rivals but also highlights how competitive the market has become for top-tier young talent.
For United, it’s back to the drawing board in search of their next attacking option.
