Manchester United are aiming to make key additions in midfield this summer, with fans calling for reinforcements in a department that struggled for consistency last season.
While Casemiro impressed in the latter half of the campaign under Ruben Amorim, the Brazilian is no longer the all-dominant force he once was.

Christian Eriksen’s departure has also freed up space in United’s midfield, prompting the club to explore targets who can offer immediate quality.
One name being closely monitored is Andre of Wolves, after the Brazilian enjoyed a solid debut campaign in the Premier League.
Now, United have taken further steps in their midfield rebuild.
According to L’Equipe’s report, the Red Devils have made contact with Corentin Tolisso’s entourage to study the feasibility of a summer transfer.
The 30-year-old Lyon midfielder, who previously starred for Bayern Munich and France, is said to be interested by the project but will not force an exit.

Tolisso, who met United in the Europa League quarter-finals back in April, is coming off one of the best seasons of his career.
Still under contract at Lyon until 2027, the midfielder has become club captain following Alexandre Lacazette’s move to Saudi Arabia.
Lyon are reluctant to sell, particularly as they plan to build around Tolisso this season.
However the club’s financial situation could change their stance.
As per the L’Equipe report, a fee of over €10 million would be required, with Tolisso currently the club’s highest earner.
While he’s already rejected approaches from Turkey, United’s interest, along with potential moves from Atlético Madrid or Saudi side Neom, could test Lyon’s resistance.
For United, he would be an experienced option – one that the Red Devils may need to sanction, should they fail to get their primary targets.
