Former Manchester United midfielder and Premier League veteran Christian Eriksen has reportedly found his new club after leaving The Red Devils at the end of last season.

Having moved to Old Trafford from Brentford in 2022 on a free transfer, Eriksen joined the side under Erik ten Hag’s reign, sticking with The Red Devils for three seasons, making 107 appearances with eight goals and 19 assists to his name.

Whilst this isn’t a patch on his 69 goals and 88 assists in 305 games for Tottenham Hotspur, over his time at Old Trafford, the Premier League star helped United to win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, both under ten Hag.

Whilst the 33-year-old has been approached by clubs like Wrexham this summer, Eriksen has wanted to take his time to consider his next steps to ensure he joins the right club for him.

In the meantime the midfielder has been training with Swedish side Malmo, however the Europa League side expressed no interest in signing the midfielder who is now looking set to move to Germany.

Danish outlet Tipsbladet has reported that talks are well underway to see Christian Eriksen join VfL Wolfsburg.

The report explains that a contract has already been agreed and the veteran playmaker has travelled to German to complete the next steps in his career.

Long-standing Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are currently sat in sixth place in the top German league, and are fighting to remain in the top half of the table, after coming 12th and 11th in the last two season.

As such, Peter Christiansen, Wolfsburg’s managing director has brought Eriksen in with the hope of the side benefitting from his extensive experience.
