Christian Eriksen is one of the most technically gifted playmakers in English Premier League history.
After joining Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax in 2013, Eriksen established himself in the league during his 7 seasons at White Hart Lane.
Following a move to Inter Milan, where the Denmark international won Serie A, Eriksen returned to England and carried on where he left off as he helped Brentford secure their English Premier League status.
Eriksen’s performances there caught the eye and Manchester United brought him to the club on a free transfer in Erik ten Hag’s first season.
Since then, Eriksen has showcased his technical abilities at Old Trafford.

In that first season of ten Hag’s, United’s best midfield was usually comprised of Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes.
Last season, however, was a different story.
It seemed that the lack of pace in the middle of the park was leaving United exposed.
Kobbie Mainoo was brought into the first team to add some more agility in the middle of the park and that seemed to push Eriksen into the role of squad player.
During UEFA Euro 2024, Christian Eriksen showed that he still has what it takes to succeed at the top.
Denmark’s best play revolved around their talisman and he was one of their best players in the tournament.
With United linked to signing Manuel Ugarte, many saw the writing on the wall for Christian Eriksen.
And it seems that there has been movement on that front.

The Athletic report that Manchester United have offered Christian Eriksen to Ajax.
Ajax are looking to bring in a number 10 and a return to the club for their former player would be a logical move.
It is believed that United have set an asking price of at least £5m for the Dane.
This seems unbelievably low and good value for a player who has recently showed that he’s still got it.
With Eriksen being offered to the Dutch giants for such a low price, it seems that the club are keen to move him on and use those funds to bring another midfielder in.
Scott McTominay’s move to Fulham is now off, so it seems that the next man out of the door could instead be Christian Eriksen.
And a return to Ajax would be a dream reunion potentially for both club and player.
