Chelsea and Manchester United have started the 2025-26 Premier League recently.
Both sides will be aiming to improve on their finishes from last season.
But, considering United finished 15th, the Red Devils will arguably be expected to improve the most in the upcoming season.
To do this, Ruben Amorim has used Manchester United’s pulling power to attract several names to the club.
Names such as Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo fall under this category.
However, these signings, alongside the three other signings made this summer, has arguably made departures also crucial even with the departure of names such as Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans.
But, even with these departures, Ruben Amorim will arguably be looking to offload players before the end of the transfer window.
One of the names that has been linked with a departure from Old Trafford is Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine, who is a graduate of the United academy, has previously been a part of the Red Devils’ infamous bomb squad.
Furthermore, he has been linked with moves to several sides as potential next clubs.
But, the club that look most likely to sign Garnacho is Chelsea who have recently stepped up their talks to sign the winger.
However, with the 20-year-old rejecting the latest offer by the London side, the deal is still on a knife-edge.
Now, an update has emerged on the deal and its potential routes.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Alejandro Garnacho will become a Chelsea player.

Furthermore, he has claimed that Chelsea offered Tyrique George to United as part of the deal, but they said no.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Stamford Bridge outfit last year.
Tyrique George was also able to score one goal during last season’s Premier League campaign.
With this news revealed, attention will now turn towards the potential confirmation of Alejandro Garnacho joining Chelsea.
But, with the transfer window closure looming, the London side will have to act quick to ensure the deal goes through.
