News has just broke that Chelsea have submitted their first offer for Jadon Sancho.

The report comes from Fabrizio Romano who claims Sancho is open for a move to Stamford Bridge.

The interest in the English winger from Chelsea came seemingly out of nowhere last week with the news that The Blues were looking at offering both Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell in place of Sancho.

United had been linked with Chilwell earlier in the summer as a potential solution to their left-back problem, having Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia ruled out through injury for a considerable time.

However, United decided not to pursue the offer for Chilwell, instead beginning negotiations for a separate deal for Sterling. Whilst the end result would be that they change places, this wouldn’t be a straight swap. That way, United could have still ended up with Sterling even if Sancho went to, then interested Juventus.

Juventus submitted an offer for a loan deal with a fee for United of around €7.5 million. However, later the same day Juve pulled out of the running for the winger.

It’s understood  that Chelsea’s bid is a loan offer very similar to Juventus’, however with a higher fee for The Red Devils.
