Manchester United are aiming for an active conclusion to the transfer window, with pursuits underway for players such as Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte, and Matthijs de Ligt.

However, these signings hinge on the club making sales to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

The club’s management has reportedly identified a need for a new striker, right-back, center-back, and defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Achieving these additions without player sales seems nearly impossible.

Consequently, Dan Ashworth and team are actively working to offload players to fund these acquisitions.

A list of potential departures has been drawn up, including star names such as Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay, Antony, Casemiro and potentially Jadon Sancho too.

Celtic enter race for Hannibal Mejbri

Celtic has shown interest in Manchester United’s Hannibal Mejbri, with manager Brendan Rodgers targeting the young midfielder, according to a Tunisian report.

Mejbri is currently on a pre-season tour in the United States with Manchester United.

Tunisian radio station Mosaïque FM, via Sport Witness, reports that Celtic is keen on acquiring the 21-year-old this summer.

The report indicates that Celtic is preparing to make an offer for a permanent transfer, though the potential fee has not been disclosed yet.

With less than a year remaining on Mejbri’s contract, the Red Devils may be willing to sell him in this transfer window, which could benefit Celtic.

Last season, Mejbri had a limited role at United and spent a disappointing loan spell at Sevilla, making only six appearances.

This potential move to Celtic could provide Mejbri with a fresh start and more playing opportunities under Rodgers. However, it remains to be seen if the UK media will corroborate this claim.
