A club like Manchester United is always looking for talent. Whether it’s the more potent, every-day transfer reports that pop up or relying on the huge scouting network at the club to poach talents.
There are the deals that are more renowned like a Matheus Cunha or a Bryan Mbeumo. Then there are deals like Diego Leon or even Alejandro Garnacho signing for United as a 16 year old as he slowly emerged into the first team.
It is up to the club thereafter to hone the talents at their arsenal and make a successful team, it can be high profile or low.
There aren’t many talents poached from the Championship that have signed for United, but it appears this may now be changing.
Over the summer Cardiff City let 13 players go adding just three for new boss Brian Barry-Murphy.
Cardiff are now in League 1 but sit at the top of the table after a great start. According to a report in EFL Analysis, one Cardiff player has been attracting the Red Devils and other prestigious clubs.
Dylan Lawlor has been watched closely by several Premier League clubs and Borussia Dortmund.
Lawlor made his debut last season and has already become a first-teamer and made his Welsh debut under Craig Bellamy. Though, Cardiff will want to work hard to keep a player of Lawlor’s potential in their side for as long as they can, but it appears some clubs are already scouting him.
Lawlor made his Wales debut just last week but his performances are attractign the elite clubs in the Premier League keen to get there early before their counterparts.
Manchester United are one of the clubs interested in the player as well as: Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle United.
Aside from the English clubs, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring Lawlor’s progress.
Craig Bellamy has already spoken highly of the player and though United have many centre-backs in the ranks, it is the position in the team that requires 3 starters and many back-ups in the squad.
It is definitley one to watch as United wouldn’t want to miss out on a player with such potential as they have done in the past.
