Burnley have recently agreed a deal to sell their top midfielder, Sander Berge, to Fulham in a last minute turnaround.
Fulham’s original focus was on Manchester United’s Scott McTominay, with the club matching United’s £25 million asking price earlier yesterday.
Then, last night in a dramatic turn, the deal for McTominay was off and a new deal for Sander Berge was agreed worth £20million plus £5m in potential add-ons.

With Berge heading to London for his medical assessment today, Burnley are now in the market for a midfielder and are turning to Manchester United now to fill the gab the Norwegian is leaving behind.
Burnley look to sign Hannibal Mejbri
Reports from The Athletic have announced that Burnley are now looking at United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.
At this time, Burnley are looking at either a loan deal or a permanent deal, with neither currently being a preferred option. Hannibal has a year left on his contract, so United will be looking to complete a permanent deal over a loan move to cash in on the 21-year-old.
Hannibal is a great option, with proven Championship experience after spending the 2022/23 season on loan with Birmingham City where he made 38 appearances with a singular goal and five assists.
With Berge on his way out and Burnley’s next game on Saturday against Sunderland, the club will be keen to get a replacement to Turf Moor as soon as possible.
