Manchester United have finally completed on signing Bryan Mbeumo, with the Cameroon international signed, sealed and delivered to Old Trafford with his medical and contract complete.
The saga has been ongoing for over a month now, as United turned their attention to him after signing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha in a bid to rebuild their attack.
From early doors, Mbeumo made it clear his intention was to move to Old Trafford to be a part of Ruben Amorim’s project to rebuild The Red Devils.

However, Brentford were holding firm for a £62.5 million fee, seeing Mbeumo as comparable to Cunha.
Whilst United then matched the asking price with a £55 million bid plus £7.5 million in add-ons, other dynamics were coming into play.
Brentford were frustrated with the public nature of the deal and Mbeumo’s clear desire to leave, Thomas Frank moved to manage Tottenham Hotspur wanting to bring Mbeumo with him, and Brentford’s new manager Keith Andrews also wanted to keep the star.

However, a £71 million bid of a £65 million transfer fee and £6 million in add-ons has sealed the deal to get the proven Premier League attacker into Amorim’s squad.
Now, Manchester United have taken to their official site to unveil their new signing.
Announcing Bryan Mbeumo for the first time as a Red Devil, United commented: “Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Bryan Mbeumo has joined the club, subject to registration. The Cameroon international has signed a contract until June 2030, with the option to extend for a further year.”
“My mentality is to always be better than I was yesterday. I know that I have the spirit and character to reach another level here learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players.
“Everybody told me about the environment that is being created here and how exciting the plans are for the future. This is a massive club, with an incredible stadium and amazing fans, we are all really determined to challenge for the biggest trophies.”
Now, Mbeumo will be joining his new squad as they travel to the States to take part in the Premier League Summer Series and he gets the chance to establish himself in the first squad.
