But not every new face will be present, with one high-profile arrival forced to wait for his debut in red.
Despite sealing a big-money move, the club’s latest signing won’t be part of the squad for the curtain-raiser in Sweden.
According to Chris Wheeler via X, Bryan Mbeumo will not join Manchester United’s squad for tomorrow’s clash with Leeds.
The Cameroonian international became United’s third signing of the summer after the two clubs agreed a fee understood to be worth £65 million, with an additional £6 million in add-ons, taking the total package to £71 million.
Although the deal is done, and Mbeumo’s contract is already locked in until June 2030 with an option for a further year, final logistics are keeping him sidelined for now.

Wheeler reveals that the 25-year-old is unlikely to travel to Stockholm in time for tomorrow’s friendly, indicating he will instead link up with his new teammates when the club departs for their pre-season tour of the United States next week.
That tour will provide Amorim with a closer look at his versatile new attacker, who is expected to play a key role in his revamped forward line.
Mbeumo’s move marks a significant investment by United, who were made to increase their offer after Brentford pushed their valuation to £70 million.
The deal was eventually struck after United sweetened their proposal to include the full £71 million package.
Fans will have to wait a few more days to see their new star in action, but the anticipation only adds to the excitement surrounding the squad’s evolving shape under Amorim.
With Bryan Mbeumo set to feature heavily in the U.S., his Manchester United story is only just beginning.
Understand that Bryan Mbeumo is unlikely to link up with his new Man Utd teammates for the opening friendly v Leeds in Stockholm tomorrow after Brentford accepted an offer of £65m + £6m in add-ons, but he is set to go on the club’s US tour next week #mufc
