Bruno Fernandes has been one of Manchester United’s shining lights in recent years with the Portuguese international shining from the front as the club’s captain.

Since joining the Red Devils in 2020, the 30-year-old has played 291 games with 98 goals coming from these affairs, an average of 0.33 goals per game.

These performances, alongside his captaincy and individual qualities, have helped Manchester United to win both the FA Cup and EFL Cup during his time at the club.

However, these displays also attracted the interest of other clubs around the world.

One of these clubs was Al-Hilal who were interested in signing the attacking midfielder earlier in the transfer window.

The Saudi Arabian side, who finished second in the Saudi Pro League last season, offered £300 million for the United star and even met Fernandes’ terms.

However, the former Sporting player rejected Al-Hilal’s proposal ending the prospect of him joining the club.

Now, another Saudi Pro League side have registered their interest in the midfielder as the end of the transfer window approaches.

According to SunSport, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad are targeting a move for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

SunSport have also claimed that Al-Ittihad will “test Manchester United’s resolve” through submitting a bid before the transfer window closes in a couple of weeks time.

The source has also revealed that a meeting between Fernandes’ camp and the Saudi Arabian outfit have taken place.

Furthermore, the contact between Fernandes and the side is reported to be positive with the Portuguese international asking for a contract that would be worth a total of £33 million per year.

With this news now being revealed, the chances of Fernandes leaving Old Trafford this summer have reappeared again.

But, considering that Fernandes rejected a move to Saudi Arabia earlier in the transfer window, it can be considered unlikely that the midfielder would accept a proposal to move to the Middle Eastern country this summer.
