Manchester United fans are expecting a busy summer window as the club looks to reshape the squad under Ruben Amorim.

Matheus Cunha is expected to become United’s first major signing of the window, with a £62.5m deal for the Wolves forward nearing completion in the coming days.

Elsewhere, the Red Devils suffered a transfer setback after missing out on Liam Delap.

The Englishman has instead chose to join Chelsea.

One position United were keen to reinforce in recent windows is left wing-back.

A problem area Amorim inherited due to long-term injury issues surrounding Luke Shaw and lack of depth.

That led to the January arrival of Patrick Dorgu, who joined from Lecce to provide much-needed depth and energy on the flank.

The club has also lined up the signing of Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno, another young talent expected to bolster Amorim’s options for the 2025/26 campaign.

However, they have now made a further step in pursuit of adding more depth and quality to that position.

Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan of serious interest to Manchester United

Now, Pervis Estupinan has emerged as another player United have enquired about for the left wing-back role.

Speaking exclusively via The United Stand YouTube channel, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed: “Pervis Estupinan is a name United have enquired about for the left wing back role.”

Jacobs clarified the status of the interest by saying: “Not aware of any approach made as of yet.”

Jacobs then went on to say: “He (Estupinan) is one name I’ve heard in recent days.”

Should Estupinan sign, he would be competing directly with Shaw and Dorgu in the left-sided role.

Although United’s growing depth in that area makes a move currently appear unlikely.

With Shaw returning to full fitness and Dorgu settling in well, Amorim may feel adequately covered unless a departure opens up space later in the window.
