Manchester United could well be a step closer to offloading Marcus Rashford as Barcelona are fine-tuning their pursuit this summer.
The Red Devils have been looking to part ways with Rashford since the winter transfer window, when the attacker went on loan to Aston Villa with an option to buy for £40 million.
Ultimately, this and Rashford’s wages were too high for The Villains without regular Champions League football, which they missed out on for next season.

As such, the England international returned to Old Trafford, and since the pre-season started, has been doing individual training at Carrington.
It’s understood that Rashford was given extended leave to line up a transfer; however chose to report back to the training ground still to prepare for next season, whoever that may be with.
Barcelona appear to be front-runners for the 27-year-old, with Rashford’s super-agent Pini Zahavi having met with Barca president Joan Laporta and Manager Hansi Flick at a restaurant this week.

However, Florian Plettenberg has now reported that Barcelona’s interest only extends as far as a loan deal.
Whilst this isn’t a huge problem, with Rashford expressing he’d be happy for a loan move to Camp Nou, the attacker has expressed he’d only do so if an obligatory buy clause was also included.
It’s unknown at this time if Barcelona would consider adding such a clause in or if they are only looking at a temporary move for with England international.
🚨🔵🔴 FC Barcelona are still targeting Marcus #Rashford, as revealed. However, Barcelona are currently only considering a loan.
Understand that Rashford is very open to joining Barca and has already given an initial green light for the move.
