Marcus Rashford has been pursuing a move to Spanish giants Barcelona for the majority of this summer.
This follows weeks of hints that the left-winger was going to leave Old Trafford this summer including changing his X profile picture.
The English international was sent to Villa Park for the second half of the 2024-25 Premier League season following concerns that his off-field actions were affecting his on-field performances.
Whilst at the Premier League club, he was able to score on two occasions in the Premier League whilst also gaining two assists in the UEFA Champions League.
But, he was sent back to Old Trafford following the conclusion of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.
Rashford even returned to Manchester United’s training ground this week for pre-season training as he prepares for the 2025-26 seas0n whether this be at Old Trafford, the Camp Nou or another place.

Now, it has been revealed by journalist Javi Miguel on X that Barcelona’s sporting director Deco is the main obstacle in Rashford’s move to the serial La Liga champions.
Furthermore, according to Miguel, there are still significant discrepancies in the Sporting Committee when it comes to attacking reinforcements.
As well as this, the journalist revealed that Barcelona’s focus is now on departures to free up salary space for new players.

This may put Rashford’s move to Spain in doubt as Deco arguably has a big say in the business that Barcelona undertake due to his status as sporting director.
The news of Deco’s resistance to this move also probes an important question – will Marcus Rashford make a move to Barcelona, will he have to settle for another club or will he stay at Manchester United?
Only time will tell.
Deco sigue siendo el principal obstaculo en la operacion Rashford. Sigue habiendo grandes discrepancias en la Comision Deportiva sobre el refuerzo en ataque. Se prioriza ahora mismo las salidas para liberar masa salarial
