After completing the signings of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United are now turning their attention to outgoings in this summer transfer window.

To raise funds for a new midfielder and goalkeeper, the club is looking to offload some players before the window closes.

The Manchester United “bomb squad” have been training separately as they seek moves away.

The players United are aiming to sell include Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony, as well as Rasmus Hojlund, who is strongly linked with a loan move to AC Milan that includes an obligation to buy.

United have struggled to finalise deals for these players due to tough negotiations from buying clubs and high wage demands.

While there were no concrete links for Tyrell Malacia earlier in the summer, an Italian club now appears to be seriously considering a move for the Dutch full-back.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta are in the market for a left-back this summer and have narrowed their shortlist to three names: Ian Maatsen, Tyrell Malacia, and Ismail Jakobs.

All three players are considered attainable, though Malacia could prove to be the most affordable option.

For Manchester United, the Dutch full-back’s potential exit would be a welcome development.

Malacia has struggled with injuries and form since joining and is currently training with the so-called “bomb squad” of players expected to leave Old Trafford.

Offloading him would not only clear his wages from the books but also provide a modest transfer fee as United look to fund new signings in midfield and goalkeeper.

While United are hopeful Malacia’s move to Italy materialises, the sales of their other unwanted players are expected to be far more challenging before the transfer window closes.
