Jadon Sancho’s future has been uncertain for some time, with the winger’s career stalling after Chelsea sent him back to Manchester United.
Since then, the England international has been linked with several clubs across Europe, though none have managed to strike a deal.
AS Roma have emerged as the frontrunners in recent weeks, but the move would require Sancho to take a significant wage cut to make the deal realistic.
Complicating matters further is the role of his representatives, with agent fees seeming to be a sticking point.
An issue that also held back Juventus when they considered a move earlier in the summer.
Against this backdrop, fresh comments from Italy suggest the door may not be completely closed just yet.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed Sancho remains on their radar.

“Sancho has never said no to Roma. There are eight days left.
“This is a good team, anyway.
“As I said before, there’s no end to the worst and the best,” he told reporters.
Gasperini’s words indicate Roma’s willingness to keep the possibility alive, even if they are working against a tight deadline before the transfer window closes.
For the Red Devils however, the situation remains delicate.
Sancho has no role under Ruben Amorim in the short and long-term future.
Thus, meaning he is very unlikely to feature regardless of how the season unfolds.
Keeping him at Old Trafford on high wages without playing time would continue to be a financial drain.
While a move abroad could offer the 25-year-old a chance to relaunch his career ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Whether Sancho agrees to lower his demands and finally accept a move could decide if his career gets the reset it badly needs.
Or if this saga drags on even longer.
