Jadon Sancho is seemingly closing in on a move away from Old Trafford this summer with the winger seemingly likely to join Serie A.

Initially, Juventus emerged as front-runners for the former England international, as the winger was prioritising offers from the top European leagues to remain in contention for the Champions League.

However, despite Sancho’s agent flying to Turin, nothing materialised with the move, opening the door for other clubs to swoop in.

Now, AS Roma are pushing to sign the Manchester United outcast, with details of their agreed terms with The Red Devils now being revealed.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the two clubs have agreed a fee of £16.4 million (€19 million), plus £4.3 million (€5 million) in add-ons taking it to £20.7 million (€24 million).

Whilst the club-to-club agreements are reportedly in place, the Serie A side are still waiting to hear back from Jadon Sancho himself.

No agreement on personal terms is in place as of yet, with the winger yet to agree the offer on the table for him.

Other reports have suggested that Besiktas are pushing to sign Sancho, however, much like when Fenerbahce were fighting to sign him, Sancho is seemingly uninterested in moving to Turkey.

With only two weeks left of the transfer window, there are concerns coming from United that Sancho could look at running down his contract, having one year left at Old Trafford on £300,000 per week wage that no club is looking to match.

As such, come next summer, Sancho would be a free agent, meaning clubs could offer a higher salary than this year due to no cost on transfer fees.

However, as a member of the “bomb squad” this would mean sat on the side-lines for a year if he choses this route in place of taking a wage cut to join another club for regular football.
