Arsenal are looking to beat Manchester United to one of their summer targets as both of the Premier League sides are prioritising recruitment for their attack.

The Red Devils are in desperate need of rejuvenating their attack after their worst Premier League season on record.

Unfortunately for Ruben Amorim, a factor of this has been the lack of consistency in front of goal, with neither Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee acting as prolific goal scorers.

Thankfully, Amorim has had Mr Reliable, Bruno Fernandes, leading by example as the club’s top goal scorer with 19 goals and 19 assists and Alejandro Garnacho helping with some significant contributions.

However, United need more reliability in the final third, hence moving for proven Premier League strikers Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap.

Now, The Red Devils are at risk of having one of their other high-profile targets snapped up by Arsenal as The Gunners fight to add to their attack.

Arsenal strongly consider for Rodrygo

Over recent days, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has emerged once more as a target of United’s, with the Brazil international generating considerable interest.

Now, Florian Plettenberg has reported that Arsenal are hoping to beat United to the 24-year-old.

It’s understood that The Gunners have opened conversations about the winger behind the scenes, and whilst a move looks difficult, he’s thought to be leaving the Spanish capital this summer.

Xabi Alonso has been brought in as the new Madrid manager and is reportedly swaying towards starting Arda Guler over Rodrygo, leading the winger to consider other options.

However, with Rodrygo’s contract set to run until 2028 with Madrid, Los Blancos are in a strong position for negotiations.

Unfortunately this may make a move for the Brazilian difficult for United, who’s financial struggles are well known and appear to only be mounting.
