Manchester United’s transfer strategy this summer is beginning to take shape as they continue to weigh up attacking options.
With uncertainty around the futures of several squad members, including Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, United are actively surveying the striker market.
Benjamin Sesko had been one of the names on the club’s radar for months, but developments elsewhere may shift the focus.

Arsenal’s interest in top forwards has already seen ripples in the market, and their movement could be good news for United.
According to a new report from Sport Bild, Benjamin Sesko has reached a personal agreement with Arsenal.
The Gunners are in talks with RB Leipzig and are hoping to strike a deal worth between €80 million and €100 million for the 22-year-old Slovenia international.
This move significantly affects another forward United have previously monitored — Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish striker, currently at Sporting CP, has been keen on a switch to the Premier League and has long been linked with Arsenal.
However, if Arsenal succeed in landing Benjamin Sesko, there will be no space left for Gyokeres at the Emirates, opening a possible door for Manchester United to swoop in.
Gyokeres has a release clause reported to be in the region of €100 million, but Sporting president said they will not demand that fee to be paid for the Swedish international.

Ruben Amorim is known to admire Gyokeres’ profile, having managed him at Sporting, and could be open to a reunion if the opportunity arises.
United have also been in contact with several agencies across Europe, preparing for a hectic July of potential negotiations.
While Sesko may be out of reach, the knock-on effect of his impending move to North London could prove pivotal for United’s summer.
Viktor Gyokeres scored 39 goals and registered 8 assists in the Liga Portugal last season, making him one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.
Should Arsenal finalise the Sesko deal soon, Manchester United may find themselves in pole position to land a target who had once seemed bound elsewhere.
