Antony rejects offers from two clubs

Antony has reportedly rejected offers from two clubs amid ongoing speculation about his future.

Manchester United’s summer transfer window is already heating up as the club prepares to offload several players who no longer fit into Ruben Amorim’s plans.

With the Premier League season fast approaching, squad adjustments are vital for the Red Devils to balance their finances and build a team ready to challenge on multiple fronts.

Among the unsettled stars, Antony has become one of the most talked-about names in the transfer gossip mill this summer.

The 25-year-old winger has struggled to cement a regular starting spot at Old Trafford since his £82 million move from Ajax in 2022.

His loan spell at Real Betis last season showed flashes of quality, but United appear ready to listen to offers for the Brazilian international, especially after it was reported he submitted a transfer request.

Despite this, Antony has made it clear he has no intention of returning to Brazil’s Serie A anytime soon.

According to reports from Canal do Medeiros via Antenados no Futebol, Botafogo had approached Manchester United with interest in signing the winger to bolster their attacking options.

However, Antony himself thanked the Brazilian club for their interest but decisively rejected any immediate plans to move back to his homeland.

The former Sao Paulo academy graduate has been in Europe since 2020, and although his future at United is uncertain, a return to Brazilian football is not currently on his agenda.

Clubs from Europe’s top leagues and even teams from the Middle East have already shown interest in acquiring Antony.

Meanwhile, Sao Paulo continue to keep a close eye on developments given their entitlement to a share of any future transfer fee through FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.

With United keen to trim the squad, Antony’s next destination could come sooner than expected.

The question remains: where will the Red Devils’ high-priced winger end up next season?

Fans will be watching closely as transfer talks unfold and the club attempts to finalise its plans for a squad overhaul.
