Manchester United are continuously looking at improving their squad across the pitch, with INEOS’ new recruitment strategy beginning to take shape.
Since taking charge of the club’s football operations, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has shifted the club’s recruitment focus to being on players of 26 years old or younger with potential to grow into the world’s best, whilst still being able to make a fairly instant impact.
As such, recent signings like Casemiro and Christian Eriksen will be a thing of the past with new signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo both aligning with the club’s new priorities.

The pair also fit in with another part of the club’s new focus, to bring in proven Premier League talent to help the club turn things around, and as such it’s believed this focus may be more of a short-term one.
However, United are also putting a lot of investment into their younger ranks with some talented teenagers joining the senior squad over the last 12 months.
Leny Yoro, Diego Leon, Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi have all joined The Red Devils under the INEOS reign, with another impressive youngster now on the club’s shortlist.
Konstantinos Lianos of Sun Sport has now reported that United are interested in Angers defender Dan Sinate.
The 19-year-old left-back has just been promoted from Angers’ reserve side, having come through the AS Monaco academy, moving to Alaves’ youth set-up in 2024, then Angers back in January 2025.
Since joining the French side, he’s made nine appearances for their B side, grabbing two assists in back-to-back games.

Now, United are keen to monitor his progress throughout the coming season to look for a potential move next January or summer.
United’s interest has come from his international call-up to the Mali Under-20s in the Maurice Revello Tournament in June.
However, he’s yet another left-back that United are considering after signing Patrick Dorgu in the winter, Diego Leon now this summer, as well as having Harry Amass on hand looking likely to head out on loan to get more match experience.
As such, it’s unsure how Dan Sinate fits into their long-term plans, with Leon already impressing in training at the age of 18.
