Angelo Stiller currently plays for VfB Stuttgart and played 2743 minutes last season.
The defensive midfielder has also featured in both of Stuttgart’s Bundesliga matches this campaign.
Furthermore, during his time at the German outfit, the 24-year-old has scored five times.
As well as this, the midfielder has received an average FotMob rating of 7.23 for his performances this season.
Earlier in the transfer window, Sky Sports reported Manchester United’s interest in the German international’s services.
But, this was a deal that didn’t seem to form as United focused their efforts on other targets.
Earlier on Sunday, it appeared that the midfielder may be on his way to Old Trafford.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester United’s delegation were currently in Stuttgart in order to complete the signing of Angelo Stiller.
The journalist also confirmed that talks were now advanced with the German midfielder who was expecting a deal to be done.
However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that, currently, Stiller is expected to stay at the Bundesliga outfit this summer.
Furthermore, Romano has revealed that there is currently zero negotiations underway between both clubs.
Following Romano’s tweet about the news, Sacha Tavolieri has deleted his tweet.
However, as seen below, he did post the tweet.
Since Romano’s correcting of the situation, Tavolieri has also been dropped to a tier-4 source by centredevils.
With this revealed, it now appears unlikely that Angelo Stiller will join the Red Devils this summer.
However, Ruben Amorim’s side may turn their attention towards other targets such as Senne Lammens.
Earlier today, it was revealed that United were going to prioritise their efforts on signing the ‘keeper.
But, with one day of the window remaining, nothing can be said for sure.
Therefore, only time will tell.
