Andre Onana is one of the names linked with a move away from Old Trafford following the arrival of Senne Lammens earlier in the window.
The ‘keeper, who is hasn’t appeared for United this season in the Premier League, has been recovering from a hamstring injury picked up in pre-season.
Furthermore, the 29-year-old’s performance against Grimsby Town – where he arguably made several mistakes – has made his future at United questionable.
But, with the English transfer window closed, it looked as if Onana would stay at Old Trafford following the rejection of West Ham United to take the ‘keeper on a transfer.
However, in the coming days, the goalkeeper has been linked with a move away to Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The side, who play in Super Lig, have previously made an increased transfer offer to United for the 29-year-old.
Furthermore, earlier today, it was revealed that the Turkish side had agreed verbally with the Red Devils to sign Onana on a loan deal.
Now, a key update has emerged on this potential deal and its chances.
According to journalist David Ornstein, Andre Onana is open to joining Trabzonspor and is waiting to review the contract for a proposed move from Manchester United.
The journalist has also revealed that Trabzonspor want the goalkeeper available for their next game against Fenerbahce on September 14th.
Furthermore, Ornstein has revealed that the deal with United will be for a season-long loan with no fee or buy option.
With this news now revealed, attention may turn towards the possibility of Onana leaving the club in the coming days.
If the Cameroon international does leave the club, United will be left with three goalkeepers.
But, with this a loan deal, it appears Onana’s exit will not be permanent.
However, only time will tell.
