Chelsea are showing interest in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho as deadline day approaches.
The Blues are considering a £60m bid to test United’s resolve over the academy graduate.
United are not actively looking to sell Garnacho but could be tempted by a significant offer.
Garnacho, signed from Atletico Madrid for just £420,000 in 2020, would represent pure profit if sold.
The club had hoped to ease financial pressures by selling Marcus Rashford, but no suitable offers emerged.
As a result, Garnacho’s potential departure has become a possibility despite his role in the squad.
The 20-year-old was a key player under Erik ten Hag but has struggled for starts under Ruben Amorim.
Amorim’s tactical changes have seen Garnacho’s opportunities diminish in recent weeks.
Despite this, Garnacho has already made 119 appearances for United, underlining his experience at a young age.

If Garnacho is sold, United will need a replacement, with Southampton’s Tyler Dibling emerging as a target.
That is according to Rich Fay’s report for Manchester World.
The 18-year-old has impressed in his debut Premier League campaign despite Southampton’s struggles.
Dibling is considered one of the country’s top teenage talents and is valued at around £55m by his club.
United may face financial challenges in pursuing Dibling if Garnacho is sold for a similar price.
A deal for the Southampton forward at £55m could prove risky without additional funds.
This could lead United to offer a lower initial fee or explore cheaper alternatives until the summer.
Former Southampton boss Russell Martin recently dismissed low valuations for Dibling.
“I was told some rumours about Man Utd, one was a bid of £21m.
“I’m not sure you’ll get his left foot for that,” Martin joked.
Ruben Amorim has made squad reinforcements a priority, focusing on a wing-back and a forward.
Talks for Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu are ongoing, with Antony and Tyrell Malacia set to leave.
Garnacho’s sale could complicate United’s plans, but Dibling remains a long-term target for the club.
